Second wesource, incoming! This wesource, The Read-Aloud Project: A Guide for Educators and Families, has been kindly shared with us by Amy Hylen, a friend and colleague of mine who took Language, Education, and Diversity with me last semester.

From Amy: “Welcome to the Read-Aloud project, inspired by professors and peers within the Peabody community at Vanderbilt. This is a guide for families and educators to increase access to transformative read-aloud opportunities. We hope that this guide can provide opportunities to engage with young readers to cultivate meaningful, responsive, and equitable reading experiences that support diverse language development. We also wish this guide will spark meaningful connections, cultivate experiences that foster a love of literacy, and empower children to share their own stories. Finally, we hope that children learn that they can be the change they wish to see in the world and that their greatest strengths of all are the ones that they uplift within one another.
